Julia Lyon is a NYC-based private chef. 

Julia DeCiantis Lyon is a Brooklyn-based chef specializing in private home cooking and events. Originally from Stonington, CT, Julia grew up cooking and helping out at her parents’ parties. After graduating from Trinity College with a B.A. in English Literature and then a brief stint in the music industry, Julia began working for chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s restaurant management group and soon began a career chef program at the French Culinary Institute (now known as the International Culinary Center) in Soho. Since graduating from the program in 2012, Julia has worked for several NYC restaurants and caterers, a fly fishing lodge in Chilean Patagonia, and private homes in NYC, the Hamptons, California and Maine. 

Julia is ServSafe certified, can speak enough Spanish to get around, and is completely OCD when it comes to working clean and neat.

Julia lives in Fort Greene, Brooklyn with her beloved dog Henni and husband, whose favorite food is $1 pizza.
